End of the year update!
Wow! It's hard to believe that It's already 2018. Here is a look at what I was up to in 2017:
I completed my 9-month internship at Trinity Rep. I was able to do lots of stitching, both for shows and freelance, and was the sole wardrobe person on two productions in 2017. I also was a child wrangler for A Midsummer Night's Dream, the teaching assistant of an acting class, and sold merchandise for Disney's The Lion King! Check out some pieces I made in the shop:
I spent my third summer at the Brownville Village Theatre. I acted in Snoopy!, Cole, and The Game's Afoot. I also was the costume designer for Snoopy!, Cole, and Rumors and was the costume shop supervisor.
Willa Cather's
A Resurrection
I had the opportunity to costume design and act in a new play adaptation of Willa Cather's short story A Resurrection. The story takes place in Brownville, Nebraska and we were able to perform at the Brownville Village Theatre during the Old Time Autumn Festival.
I also had the opportunity to express myself creatively for Halloween and my birthday! This year, I was Ariel, Bob Ross (with a painting), French Kiss, and an emoji duo!
I have also had the opportunity to work at Doane for the last few months of the year! I love my job, and I get to do a variety of different things! Jobs include:
- Scheduling and coordinating events for music and theatre departments
- Aiding in recruitment efforts for music and theatre in tandem with admissions
- Running all social media for both departments
- Updating yearly documents, schedules, etc.
- Generating new materials including newsletters and brochures
- Sending out emails for upcoming events, exciting accomplishments, reminders, etc.
- And much, much more!
