Brownville Update: Learning How To Embroider

My summer at Brownville has been off to a wonderful start! I was able to design our first three show: Snoopy!!, Cole (a Cole Porter Revue), and Rumors, in addition to being in both musicals. We are running these three in rep right now, and will continue to run them and our last two shows for the rest of the summer.

For Rumors, I had the unique opportunity to teach myself a new skill - hand embroidery! One of the characters wears monogrammed pajamas, so I challenged myself to embroider them on and it went well! My hardest challenge was getting the right font on to the final fabric, because it is a black satin. I am happy with how it turned out! Enjoy below a photo of my test scrap and the finished look!

Next up: we continue to tackle challenges with our production of The Game's Afoot by Ken Ludwig where a character gets back-stabbed. (Literally.)
