A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep!

Every year, Trinity Repertory Company reimagines A Christmas Carol. We have a new direction, new design team, a mix of new and familiar actors, and sometimes a new edited script! This year’s production is no different. Kate Bergstrom directed and adapted the script, and her vision was supported by our outstanding costume designer Olivera Gajic.

I have had the incredible opportunity to build several garments for this year’s production. I built my first pair of pants for Ebenezer Scrooge, including my first fly zipper! I built Scrooge’s robe which featured a velvet collar, velvet cuffs, and velvet pocket lining as well as a braided piped edge. I also built Scrooge’s double breasted Reclamation vest which was made out of a beaded fabric.

I made Lucy’s party dress which had a pleated and gathered skirt and Fred’s party vest which featured some diagonal striped pattern matching. I also made Belle’s dress which had lace details on the sleeves, bodice, and skirt. I learned a new trick for putting in a lap zipper which has helped me create a sleeker look!

This is the first year I am running wardrobe on A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep! I am serving as Wardrobe Supervisor on the production which runs for the majority of November and December, my longest run to date!
