Lizzy’s Yearly Update
Hey y’all!
Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t updated this thing in over a year! Life has been crazy lately. Last summer was my seventh year at the Brownville Village Theatre where I designed three challenging and inspirational shows - The Hello Girls, It Came From Mars, and Death at Downton!
After my summer in Brownville, I headed back to Tampa for my second contract with the Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. In Tampa, I did the pre-ship preparations and fittings to head to my next vessel - the Regent Seven Seas Splendor! The Splendor has give full scale production shows (Diamond Run, Divos & Divas, Crossroads, Bohemian Soul, and Broadway in Concert) along with two smaller shows or “bumpers” (Queen and Let’s Get the Party Started). The shows provide a variety of opportunities as a costumer and wardrobe supervisor from crazy quick changes to caring for highly expensive garments, endless rhinestone projects, and even wig maintenance! While onboard, I traveled around Europe, South America, and the Caribbean.
Wow, what a year it has been! After I got off the ship in March, I had two months off for vacation, relaxation, and traveling (to Vegas and New York) before heading down to Brownville to design one show this summer - The 39 Steps! We have a lot of new people on the team but I am so happy with how things turned out.
What’s next? A return to my floating home of course! I am back in Florida to prepare for the 8.0 cast of the Splendor where I will be returning later this summer. Can’t wait to be home!
