This was my first major costume design of a mainstage show at Doane, in collaboration with Donna Himmelberger, costume professor and shop head at the college. The process included researching, sketching, buying fabric, constructing costumes, attending production meetings, doing fittings, and making sure all costumes were the highest quality when they hit the stage for performance. Two unique challenges on this project included the fact that the show was set on an alley stage, and that the show had a unique concept: gray-scale with some red, set in period without any crazy adornments.
I designed Claudius and Gertrude, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, the Players (King, Queen, and Player 3), and the Gravedigger.
Some of my designs from the show were selected to be part of the 2016 KCACTF Region V Costume Parade.

I also had the opportunity to make several garments for the show including two looks for the Player Queen, a top for Claudius, a jacket for Polonius, and a vest for Rosencrantz.
