In my third summer at Brownville, I had the opportunity to costume supervise again and design three shows, in addition to acting in three of our five shows during the summer season. Cole features the music of Cole Porter intertwined with monologues about his life.
The show takes place in various locations and time periods, so we decided to go with a simple, modern inspired look for the base costumes. The ladies were in floor length evening gowns, and the gentlemen in tuxedos or dinner jackets. Throughout the show various pieces were added to help tell the story - including Yale cheerleader uniforms, the State of Liberty, and more!
