One of my favorite shows of my collegiate career, Last Summer at Bluefish Cove was both an incredible acting challenge and design challenge.
As a designer, we wanted to have a feel for the period the show was written in (the 1980s). We also wanted each of the characters to have a dominant color - Kitty in red, Lil in blue/green, Rita in orange, Donna in pink, Eva in yellow, Sue in gray, Rae in purple, and Annie in black. All of the costumes were either pulled from the costume shop or from the actors' personal closets.
