Directors: Rachel Curtiss and Mitch Bean

Costume Designer: Lizzy Pegler

Makeup, Hair, and Wig Designer: Rachel Curtiss

In the fall of 2017, the Brownville Village Theatre produced the world premiere of Willa Cather's A Resurrection. Adapted for the stage by Rachel Curtiss and Mitch Bean, the story takes place in the 1890s. The costumes were inspired by the time period and influenced by Brownville's hometown, simple nature. The short story by Willa Cather takes place in Brownville - a perfect fit to celebrate during the Old Time Autumn Festival for Nebraska's Sesquicentennial. The show received support from both the Cather Foundation and Humanities Nebraska.
