In 2021, after a year of postponement, I had the opportunity to return to the Brownville Village Theatre as a Costume Designer and Costume Shop Advisor. Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley was my first ever 1970s design show! I loved having the opportunity to design costumes for such real, down to earth characters. Meg’s two looks were the hardest for me, but I am so happy with how they turned out. I struggled trying to know who Meg was, but I am glad we found her in the end. I also love Doc’s farmer jeans - donated by one of our board members who is a farmer! Another fun touch were Lenny’s yellow earrings - made by Jessica Curtiss (Curtiss Collects) - the sister of the actor Rachel Curtiss!
